Although the city of Plauen in the German federal state of Saxony has only about 60,000 inhabitants, it has a tram network with a system length of almost 20 kilometres consisting of seven branches. The trams in Plauen run on metre-gauge tracks. The central transfer point, where passengers can change in all directions, is the stop named 'tunnel'. It is situated is at the end of the pedestrian zone, but you won't find a tunnel there - the name arises from a brook, which flows underground.

The trams as well as the city buses are operated by → PSB (Plauener Straßenbahn GmbH).
